Hurricane Watch/Warning,,?

#1 Postby Josephine96 » Thu Sep 08, 2005 5:07 pm

Just out of curiosity.. I see that much of the Central and North Fla coast is under a TS advisory still..

When do you guys believe {if at all} these would be changed to hurricane status..

I'd guess probably not till at least Sunday but I don't know..

Most likely they wont.. Hurricane force winds only extend out 10 miles from the center and the storm is expected to move ne away from land

If it starts the loop back it is hard to say - just have to wait and see.

True.. No need to issue a warning for at least 4-5 days probably.. keep the ts warnings up for now..

I see them too. They say they go till 3:00 am for some and later on others. They said on the advisories that IF she comes any(meanders) closer it would put areas in 70 mh winds so they wanted to post the warning. I didn't think she was a hurricane yet but they said as of 11 pm. Anyone else's thoughts?
