That picture clearly shows the stadium effect, the sheer awesome beauty of a historic storm, and provides much more than a suggestion of annularity.
I imagine that pictures like this one will be extensively analyzed in order to try to understand the causes of annularity. From the perspective of that photograph, I cannot believe that Katrina was not annular.
I commented on that a couple of times on either Fri/Sat or Sat/Sun, but I don't need any convincing of my own suspicions now, I have proof.
Absolutely one of the best hurricane pictures I've ever seen.
