wow...unreal....stunning.

i dont quite understand why the se la coast didnt buffer coastal ms from a cat-5 type surge...but it didnt....obviously.

slidell was on a little more "favorable" side of the storm than gulfport.

makes alot of other formidable storms look like babies.This is by far probably the worst OVERALL hurricane to ever hit the US since 1900 galveston storm!

I would hate to see the unfavorable side. Slidell is completely underwater. The entire area is inundated.

Words don't exist to describe this. I'm surprised this hasn't made some of the national news. At least I haven't seen it yet. I was in Biloxi this past spring for a friends Bachelor party. What's amazing is how much construction there was going on, lots of energy to the place. Hard Rock was supposed to open in July, I think. This is awful, prayers for them and all of the Gulf Coast are needed. $$$ wouldn't hurt, either.
