I just heard a news report that made my blood BOIL! A reporter from WDAM TV in Hattiesburg was interviewing the desk clerk at Days Inn in Hattiesburg, MS. I almost came unglued when the lady announced "Guests will only be allowed to stay one night. They must check out by 11 am tomorrow." I am assuming that they had some rooms available for the night that perhaps someone had made reservations for and cancelled at the last minute. I also assume that the rooms are reserved for tomorrow, but who will be driving in hurricane force winds to get to their reserved room? shouldn't they already be there?
11 AM is at about the time when our area, including Hattiesburg, is expected to begin experiencing sustained winds of up to 100 mph with gusts up to 120mph.
How can they get away with such a thing to people who are trying to get out of harm's way?
Hattiesburg MS hotel throwing guests out at 11 am tomorrow!
