Forecast track is right along the previous forecast, and is a little 50 miles or so east of NOLA, putting the target area at about 25 to 75 miles east of New Orleans. This would give the city significantly weaker winds than the strongest found, and certainly not Category 5, but the winds would be from the north. In any case, lots of rain will fall as well, and the situation will be quite perilous within roughly 100 miles of the center, and major hurricane force winds may be felt....say....50 miles inland or so, depending on forward motion, and if the storm doesn't slip much farther left of the current track forecast.
