SHIPS is one of the primary intensity forecast models the NHC uses...so this cannot be ignored.

They way she's looking on the satellite, I think Cat 5 is now becoming an increasing possiblity...

People need to get going NOW from NOLA...

its already converted...sorry.....took it from wunderground which lists mph.....still never seen a ships that high....always seem to cap around 150

Is it my eyes playing tricks on me? or is this thing really starting to speed up?? Check out this loop towards the end. You can see it accelerate.

SHIPS isn't good near land. Better to refer to DSHP.

Yes, Kat is fully expected to reach Cat-5 for a time...one hopes an anticipated ERC and proximity to land weaken somewhat.
