I trust his judgement also but these quotes "It is very important to remember that a hurricane is not a point. If this track holds, there would be nearly complete destruction for the Mississippi and Alabama coasts as well, as well as tidal surges higher than those experienced in Hurricane Georges for the Pensacola area" and "The expected landfall location remains the same, near the mouth of the Mississippi River, which would provide significant tidal surge flooding to the Pensacola area" are not a very pleasant thing to hear when waking up on a Saturday morning

also remember , this storm is not on land !!
as seen in the past these storms will do as the storm does , meaning it can turn one way or other. Everyone on the central gulfcoast should be ready.
storm could turn just slightly at LA and cross over and hit AL or even florida panhandle.
the models are becoming in more agreement but notice there has been a little east movement of the models........they still sat LA but they have shifted east to a degree.
point is the models will shift until stomr is on land...........pople in the cone area should all be ready and NOT wait
Look what Ivan did and here just lately Dennis
and few degrees makes a big difference
