Vipir model note...

Apparently the Vipir also picked up on the SW move today, but it gets weird afterwards. It does a radical hook over Tampa and Orlando and brings it back to the ocean. Breck said he wasn't confident in this solution though if it verified, he would have serious confidence in the Vipir in the future based off of some nice solutions on other storms this year (though it's been bad far out and with some of the storms).

He said they'd have an update of it at 5:00am with Krystal Wicker but I won't be up to see it. If I catch it at 6am or later, I'll post something in the morning.

Vipir is just a Graphical Interface that runs on top of the BAM models---no new technology there. It is a tracking tool, not a forecast model. Forget about the "right hook--" this thing is moving SW, and will move W, and finally, WNW.

Don't shoot the messenger bra. I never said jack about it other than reporting what was on the news. Personally, I don't believe this solution either but I did see it perform well for Cindy which was the only major effects we've had this year.

I hope my family in Biloxi, Pascagoula and Gautier are watching this closely...I think I'm probably going to head over there tomorrow unless I think it's going to be a 4 when it hits land.
