With EVERYTHING in that loop moving quite well east to west, whatever is going to move Katrina so abruptly right must be a real monster that hasn't even come on scene yet.... Might be time to do a special edition GUTS...

The SAME exact thought went through my mind earlier. Can you imagine this storm doing this 50 miles to the EAST? It would have been a NIGHTMARE scenario because it would have STILL be likely strengthening while moving southward just off the coast.
Now that it's inland, it only means MORE rain and flooding...
