Western Atlantic Tropical Summary - WATS UP August 17, 2005
<img src="http://www.diamondheadweather.com/wats20050817.jpg">
A tropical wave is moving inland over the Yucatan peninsula.
The central Caribbean is dominated by an upper level low that is producing a lot of thunderstorms it the SW Caribbean sea.
The remnants of TD10 continue to battle dry air and the upper level
low to its northeast. I do not expect this to regenerate into a tropical
cyclone in the next 24-48 hours.
Another mass of dry air and Saharan Dust is moving in right behind
the remnants of TD10, which will inhibit development of tropical cyclones.
