That's what surprised me yesterday - we are usually the ones that miss
getting the rain, I call it the "Diamondhead Bubble". We actually got rain
for a change.

According to our TV Met last night, it's just a trough.

The weather where I am is overcast with light showers from time to time. The wind doesn't seem to be unusually strong. The day is rather pleasant, actually.

In short, nothing to be concerned about.

EDIT: There's some distant thunder as well.

I was in BSL most of the day yesterday and that thunderstorm absolutely *poured* down there. It blew in kinda freaky too...wind from every direction, lightning, thunder for quite some time before it ever rained.

So back on topic...what is "sharp" about the winds? Please to be explain. :D

I presume he meant it's a sharp wave signature - with winds out of the north ahead of the wave axis.

Rest! No rest for us. We live along the Coast and during the summer there is no rest from tracking tropical systems. At least not this year!
