I voted: 1 - Very poor - has no knowledge on the tropics

But it was a joke vote because that choice was even on there. I dig Mike's work and watch whenever I can.

I gave him a 4. He was right on the money with Cindy when no one else wanted to believe. He was also pretty darn close with Dennis.

I just wish I could see 'em.

As a Mac user, there seems to be some kind of compatibility issue with the mechanics of the format he uses. I get the first 12 seconds or so of the intro, then it freezes every time. I had the problem with the freestanding Windows .wmv format Mike previously used as well, even though I don't have any difficulty with accessing other Windows video files online.

Andrew '92, Katrina '05, Gustav '08, Isaac '12, Ida '21...and countless other lesser landfalling storms whose names have been eclipsed by "The Big Ones".

I'd give him a 4.5, becuase while he is very knowledgable and makes excelent forecasts, the professional factor isn't ALWAYS there. Usually it is though.

I agree. Why was this even posted? He does a great job and is very passionate about hurricanes. Just watch and enjoy them!

I wanted to see what others thought of Mike's work.

Personally, I think he's got a lot of knowledge on tropical weather,
and does a great job with his analysis.

Generally speaking, with polls, you get an idea of what the audience thinks. That's my goal, nothing more or less.
