.LONG TERM (FRIDAY THROUGH TUESDAY)...
A DEEP LAYERED MEAN ANTICYCLONE WILL BECOME ESTABLISHED AGAIN ACROSS
THE WESTERN NORTH ATLANTIC FRIDAY THROUGH SATURDAY NIGHT. AS A
RESULT...LOW-LEVEL WINDS SHOULD VEER AND FRESHEN A BIT FRIDAY
THROUGH SATURDAY NIGHT. AS OF 2 PM EDT...TROPICAL STORM EMILY WAS
LOCATED ABOUT 530 MILES EAST-SOUTHEAST OF BARBADOS. A STRENGTHENING
ANTICYCLONE TO THE NORTH SHOULD KEEP EMILY ON MORE OF A WESTERLY
TRACK THROUGH THE CARIBBEAN LATE THIS WEEKEND. FOR NOW...THE
THINKING IS THAT EMILY WILL MOVE SOUTH OF CUBA SUNDAY THROUGH
MONDAY. BE THAT AS IT MAY...DUE TO HUGE UNCERTAINTY WITH REGARD TO
TROPICAL CYCLONE MOVEMENT AND INTENSITY THIS FAR INTO THE FUTURE...
INTERESTS IN THE FLORIDA KEYS SHOULD CLOSELY MONITOR THE PROGRESS OF
TROPICAL CYCLONE EMILY.
