Did Dennis open up the west GOM?
Looking at the models especially my favorite, the nogaps,
it looks like Dennis sitting where it is for a few days will strengthen the ridge west in a few days thus opening the west GOM. Not saying td#5 will hit Texas, just that it could a least bring in some tropical moisture to dry as a bone Texas.

Oh thanks to Dennis the surf was kick a....MGC wrote:I was looking at the SST in the GOM this morning and the western gulf is cooking. If a cane does manage to make its way into the western gulf headed towards Texas then look out. The stage is set for a very intense hurricane in Texas if the stearing pattern allows it......MGC
