For anyone with insurance experience:
It is raining heavily in my part of town right now. Similar to Ivan in intensity, but hasn't lasted as long. My question is two fold:
I just pulled out my homeowner's policy to see what coverages we have. I found on the list of declarations and additional coverages this:
"Section I - Fungi, Wet or Dry Rot, or Bacteria coverage. Coverage applies to Dwelling 0. Base policy limit =$5,780 (included)"
Does this mean the mold in our crawl space we have been fighting since Ivan would be covered under our homeowner's policy? What about if there is additional mold as a result of Dennis, could we file a claim this time?
Not sure we want (or will need) to file a claim, but I want to know what this coverage means exactly.
Thanks in advance,
Jeny
