Phone text or 800# links for NHC, keeping tabs on Dennis?

This is the general tropical discussion area. Anyone can take their shot at predicting a storms path.

Phone text or 800# links for NHC, keeping tabs on Dennis?

#1 Postby anjou » Sat Jul 09, 2005 12:45 pm

Just wondering if there's a short WAP text site or other thing I can check from my phone - even if it's an actual voice call to a recording... that updates in layman's terms what's going on with Dennis, like whether it's continuing on its present directional course and/or has intensified or not.

Thanks!

Southern Region NWC http://www.srh.noaa.gov/wml

NHC: http://www.nhc.noaa.gov/index.wml

The Southern Region site has current radar that will download to your phone, as well as advisories and conditions for the whole country (not just the southern region.)

NHC site is has latest advisories, and is more hurricane specific.
