Best case scenario (for the US, not Cuba)

Would be if it got on land and then turned back WNW and went the length of Cuba. Probably would knock it down to a cat 1 if not tropical storm.

Unfortunately for Cuba, that would be the best case scenario for the U.S. Too bad there is no trough to deflect it out to sea.

Best case scenario for Cuba: Fidel is killed in the storm, US lifts embargo immediately and rushes in aid.
