The Hrd data shows that Cindy was a hurricane...

Later that day...67 knots

This shows as it was making landfall that the storm had weaken.

58 knots at landfall.

It weaken as it was moving ashore. The recon found that it had 992 millibras. In which it weaken to 997 millibars. In which case clearly backs the weaking at the coast line. Expect this to be upped later this year.

IT doesnt surprise me that Cindy was stronger then first thought. She put a butt whippin' on South Louisiana and flooded the MS coastal area.

Due to all the references today of Joe Bastardi, he even mentioned that Cindy was a tropical storm even though those South Louisiana people believed it was a hurricane - and further made the comment that "who are they going to believe - the data or their lying eyes". . . .

(I took offense to that as being a veteran hurricane rider from Louisiana and I can assure you that we know hurricanes/tropical storms and the difference. It doesn't take but a couple of them and you become a pretty good judge of intensity).
