Even though the waters are probably too cold to support any development with this feature, it's pretty impressive for this time of year.

Pretty impressive for this time in early june at that area.Is this a precursor of things to come in august and september??????.
Some models continue to show this area with a low pressure so I will be following the next runs to see if they continue to see it.

I wouldn't complain but it seems a little early. We will have to monitor it.

It is quite impressive for this time of year!! But it is too low-below 10ºN latitude and as said, SST's will not support development in that area yet.
I never say never, but...
If the waves continure marching off the African Sahel region like they have started, all bets may be off as to how active this season may be. And if a lot of them are as strong as this one apparently is, we could see some early CV surprises. I am not predicting anything, but we are definitely looking at a VERY, VERY interesting season, imo.
