Nice wave east of the windwards this morning. Good satellite presentation; environment may be good for this one as the first wave in the central caribbean is paving the way, but moving too fast.

Until next week comes by, there will be a discussion of what may happen with this tropical wave. Some computer models indicate that a low pressure system will develop in the Bahamas and move upward toward the Carolinas, but others say that a low pressure will develop in the Gulf of Mexico moving westward toward Texas, still we don't know what scenario is more likely, or maybe both a possible if the wave splits and the northern part goes to the Bahamas and the southern part goes to the Gulf. Is just speculation at this point but we should keep an eye to see if anything unfolds.

I don't think a split would be likely since the general concensus by the FL mets seems to indicate a ridge building over the state and heading out to sea too. This wouldn't allow for a split off piece to head north I wouldn't think.

But please correct me if I'm wrong... i'm still learning!
-like would it actually be possible if the ridge was in the upper levels and the wave would be in the lower levels??? or does a ridge apply to all levels?
