The Best Models Map

#1 Postby TreasureIslandFLGal » Fri Jun 10, 2005 12:04 pm

Does anyone have that model map that shows all the models and their predictions. -I mean the one that has all of them, not merely 4 or 5... but like 12. Anyone know hich one I am talking about? It is on a white map. I haven't seen it anywhere in like 2 years and lost the link when I got a new computer. :x

well, that resembles that map I was talking about... but I seem to remember that the map I saw was created by some DJ for a radio station or something like that. It was a very useful map when he maintained it.

I think you are thinking of a guy who worked for a TV station in NC. If I'm not mistaken, they stopped updating the site, and I couldn't find the link.

Or are you thinking of hurricanealley.net, which has the mind-numbing "spaghetti model"?

Oh my goodness! That model map (Hurricane Alley) looks like those pick up sticks we used to play with as little kids! On a more serious note, I can't recall seeing so many models converging-- over my neighorhood!

You have to change the link when a system is classified a TD...

The link that is updated now is
http://www.sfwmd.gov/org/omd/ops/weathe ... orm_01.gif

...and with the next system you will change the number to 91, then 02 etc...

midatlanticwx does have the best model maps. I was bummed when they went to pay service last year, but can understand why they had to do it.

Or just go to http://net-waves.com/weather/modelplot.htm, which links to SFMWD.
