TD1 won't make a direct hit but I think much of FL will see a good rain event out of this as most of the convection will stay E of the center. It's not like we need it, most of FL has been getting deluged lately...

With the size of the circulation I would expect some coastal erosion along the entire Gulf Coast and especially near landfall and to the east.. so rip tides, high tide and at least a few good intense rain bands/blobs is a good possibility..Hopefully it will continue to be fairly sheared and will pick up speed as expected..

FL will see the most impact from this storm. Look where the T.S. winds are being reported:

NHC 8pm 6/9 discussion

SHIP 3FFL8 REPORTED 40 KT WINDS WHILE LOCATED ABOUT 130 N MI
EAST-NORTHEAST OF THE CENTER
OF TROPICAL DEPRESSION ONE. A QUALITY CONTROL CHECK BY THE OCEAN PREDICITON CENTER SUGGESTED THIS REPORT WAS ABOUT 5 KT TOO HIGH...BUT STILL OF TROPICAL-STORM FORCE. BASED ON THIS A SPECIAL ADVISORY IS BEING ISSUED TO UPGRADE TROPICAL DEPRESSION ONE TO TROPICAL STORM ARLENE.

Well it is par for the course for the summer. My grass is green and my flowers are blooming. No complaints here. My new roof is holding up just fine! Thanks Charley : )
