Looks like Friday into Friday night for TS force winds in the waters. Not a TS Warning for coastal areas.

Why the warning its not even a tropical storm yet. I'v always seen a watch for systems that are depressions. Then once they gain tropical storm then a warning.?

The forecast is going pretty far out in the Gulf, south of 26 North looks like the first mention of TS winds. That is over 150 miles from land, maybe closer to 200 if my math is right.
