Email that I wrote to Satanorum.....hehehehe

"Don't go through with this bill. It would prove disastrous and undermine public confidence in private entities whom we would have to pay to obtain weather information. Why should the public have to pay for weather information on taxpayer money? If you go through with this bill "YOUR AN IDIOT." Oh and by the way nice to know that you supposedly reside in Penn, but actually live in Virginia and using taxpayer money to have your kids be well educated with taxpayer money for a charter school online. GOOD GOING, I GUESS THE REPUBLICAN HYPOCRISY CONTINUES. I HOPE YOUR BILL GOES DOWN LIKE YOU WILL IF THIS BILL PASSES.."

Typically, before calling someone an idiot, it's best to make sure your spelling is correct.... it should be "you're". And, for the future, you usually get your point across much better if you leave out the insults. You can be angry, but things turn out much better if you wait a while before writing something and sending/posting it.

Being nice to people gets more results than slinging insults at them. Being insulting might result in your letter being ignored. Consider that the next time you write in haste.

Also taking your time for punctuation. Then the reciever knows you took your time and actually want them to read it.

You catch more flies with honey, bunny. That is the letter best written and deleted while you're still hot under the collar. Then once you've calmed down, you write a well-reasoned, polite one that won't immediately get tossed in the round file at the sight of "YOUR AN IDIOT" or any other insult.

>>"YOUR AN IDIOT."

hehehehehe

Still, it doesn't matter what you tell him or how you tell, your (sic) not getting a response. People wrote him weeks ago and have yet to hear anything back. Myers & Co. have been giving him donations for several years. Bastardi and Myers allegedly noted all the "misinformation" about the bill /yeah right.

But yes, he is an idiot and a wing-nut. Your best hope is to throw politics aside and send a donation to his opponent next year, Senator (hopefully) Casey.

I wrote my letter to Santorum telling him not to go through with that bill as well.

He claims that NWS competes with AccuWeather. When it comes to disasterous weather, THERE'S NO SUCH THING AS COMPETITION!!!!!!!

saying thqt the NWS competes with accuweather is like saying that the US military competes with the KKK arian army, and that they should give the defense budget to those kind of groups so they can protect the US from terrorists and charge the people for it.

Poor guy posts this thread to show his dislike of the bill & all you guys do is complain about his errors.

If thats the case someone PM HurricaneWatcher Matt & tell him to click SpelChek once in a while before he post.Trying to read some of his posts is harder than deciphering Ancient Egyptian hieroglyphs.

We weren't complaining but making pointers on how to correctly write his letter. If I received a letter like that...I'd file 13 it. It was quite insulting and from previous experience I have found that if you approach the subject politely without sarcasm and insults you get much better results.
And I was dealing with the IRS!

Cyclonaut, I hear ya. I wrote the email in about one minute. I did not have much time to re-read it and correct, and I should have. Anyways, I know how to write letters and while my punctuation is less desirable, I must admit I have written some fine looking letters. I just wanted to add the sarcasm and the language because once in a while it feels good to do that, and especially to a Politician..

I'm sure Santorum's inbox got the email. But then again, maybe it didn't if his server filters out selected words--say, for instance, "idiot."

I've written plenty of screaming mimi letters like that--and then shredded, deleted, or trashed them before sending them, and then written a letter with more decorum. Insulting a person only causes them to put up the armor and ignore everything else you say. It also, in the end, harms your cause as the recipient will associate screaming mimis with said cause, as opposed to associating it with reasonable people who happen to disagree.

Trying to communicate with them in a polite, direct manner might actually get them to see your side ;) Bulldozing them with hate mail will not.
