"mini-me" low still hanging around

#1 Postby Weatherboy1 » Fri May 20, 2005 11:47 am

I think this is an low pressure area that developed out of a trough that moved off the FL coast a day or two ago. Shear in that area is so massive, this doesn't have a prayer of developing. But you can see a nice little swirl pattern in the clouds in that region ... and if we had the same thing in, say, July, you'd want to pay more attenion!

That low pressure area I highlighted yesterday is still hanging around 23N 67W, and today, it even looks a little more concentrated. Still say it has 0% chance of developing, given the shear and setup this time of year. But worth noting since there's nothing else to talk about now that Adrian is RIP.

Enjoy!
