ITCZ in a normal position

Some ups and downs in the axis but overall the Intertropical Convergence Zone is in a normal position at this time of the year.And the axis will continue to creep northward in latitud as time goes by allowing some of the average 100 tropical waves to begin spinning.

Yep the Gravy Train is where it should be.. With the warm SSTs all were looking for is the shear and winds to relax like the
Dog Days of August.. We will probably have some early development if the timing is right for a wave or 2 or 3 imho..

Being mid may the axis of the ITCZ inside Africa is a bit more north in latitud than normal.But in the Tropical Atlantic is is fluctuating up and down.

That being the case we might see some early development in the MDR region with the warm SST's.I do not think that mid-July would be out of the realm of possibility.
