Hmm, sounds good to me. I was wondering when the death of humidity might start rearing its ugly head and impregnating air...

Finally a true sign that summer and the typical ridging we usually have across the peninsula. As this forecast is for the Tampa Bay area I would expect South Florida to see Lows in the low 70s and Highs in the mid to upper 80s with steady E to SE winds all weekend. A true summer pattern is starting to unfold!
SFC HIGH QUICKLY SCOOTS EAST THURS NIGHT AND STRENGTHENS SOMEWHAT BETWEEN BERMUDA AND THE E BAHAMAS...RIDGING TOWARD THE PENINSULA INTO NEXT WEEKEND. THIS WILL PROMOTE INCREASING RETURN SOUTHEAST FLOW OF SUBTROPICAL AIR BEGINNING FRIDAY AND BEING FELT IN EARNEST NEXT WEEKEND. THIS PATTERN WILL PUSH DAYTIME TEMPS INTO THE UPPER 80S OVER ALL BUT THE IMMEDIATE COAST...AND HOLD TEMPS WELL INTO THE
70S EACH EVENING...FALLING TO THE 60S TO NEAR 70 BY SUNRISE.

Hard to say. I mean, there is always a high in the Atlantic and a southeast flow in the summer. This is just the way it is.
Last year, I remember a strong due east wind, particularly in August/September, which I can't recall happening before. That's what I'm keeping an eye out for.

Me too...If there is ridging taking place @ that time then South Fla can get in trouble.

Yes, I agree about the strong East wind. I was in Tampa on the West coast last summer and I couldn't remember a time where the East windflow was so dominant. It actually began in mid to late May and we were seeing summertime afternoon/evenings storms move in from
the east that we would normally see in later months. I found this very unusual. Usually, the west coast will see periods where a west or southwest windflow that will cause the summer storms to push inland...and the west pattern usually is more pronounced in May and June.
However, I saw very little of that last summer especially in August in September.

I hate the hot and humid summer. I wish it would stay cool.
Oh I am so with you there!!!!!!!
I do hope the winds will not be predominantly from the east this year, not only because it increases the threat for the east coast, but the continuous battering of the waves onto our beach has done some big time damage here.
