What will Dr Gray do in his next outlook?

#1 Postby cycloneye » Wed May 21, 2003 1:08 pm

Will he in his may 30th outlook leave the numbers the same as in april 4th 12/7/3? Or he will raise the numbers or downgrade them? Those are the questions of this poll to find out what the members think about it.

I say that he will raise by 1 on the base that la nina is developing more faster than anticipated and he is somewhat conservative to go very high in the numbers. At least he always has 1 number in each category not like noaa that has the numbers way to big in the range and they noaa can say that we were correct in our forecast but with that range it is easy to get it. that is why I follow Dr Gray more than noaa in the numbers thing but I concide with noaa on many things that they said in their report.

I say he will leave the numbers the same for his update the day before the season starts. He usually jumps the numbers after the season cranks up and he sees what kind of action is happening.

Just my two cents.

:D Definitely up by atleast by one Storm/Hurricane/Major. Another words he forecasted back in April, I think 12/8/3. So I think he'll up it to 13/9/4. Maybe even 14/9/4.

I think he may raise the number of storms by 1 or 2 but I would be surprised if he raised the hurricanes / intense hurricanes.

Up at least by 1 number on storms, hurricanes and intense hurricanes... could be up by 2 storms leaving 1 up for the others. We'll see!

Im thinking he will up the numbers by 1 or 2 like Marshall said..........Kinda doubt he will up the number of canes and if he was too it would be the number of Intense Canes and that would be only by 1.......

IMO, he'll up the storm numbers by 1, but I think he'll leave the rest alone (in number of hurricanes and major hurricanes).

I voted for "leave the same numbers" -- but I have a feeling that Dr. Gray may up his numbers a tad. I must not be the only one that did that (or does this sometimes). :) Sorry.
