9:00 AM EDT Storm2k unofficial update on Depression Matthew

Tropical storm Matthew in my estimation has weaken and is now a tropical depression with 30kt maximun winds and around 1003 mbs as strong upper shear has displaced the center from the convection at a distance that caused it to weaken from a storm now to a depression.The main threat is the copius amounts of rain the depression will cause in the area of Louisiana,Miss,Ala and the western Florida Panhandle.But no more than some gusty winds will be felt in the area.

i would not lower the winds


you cannot use tropical cyclone rules for this system, which is becoming a frontal low

Matthew as a storm it's life is over and I can say that if this weakening trend continues it wont be a TD anymore this afternoon.
