Hurricane Lili was exploding into a category 4 hurricane in the Gulf of Mexico.

Yep... I remember it pretty well too. Gave us some pretty significant tides over here on the MS coast. And a lot of tornados in SE LA/SW MS. N.O. definetely lucked out on that one (again!!)

Lili may have decreased somewhat at landfall, but she was strong enough to whip us really good on the morning of October 3rd. She had quite a good blow for about four hours as she passed right overhead. Lost most of my roof, garage and patio. No electricity for 2 and a half weeks. Won't forget her any time soon that's for sure.
