Two years ago today...

Hurricane Lili was exploding into a category 4 hurricane in the Gulf of Mexico.

Oh do I remember that day. Panic Panic of all of New Orleans because one nudge to the East would mean disaster for NO.

Yep... I remember it pretty well too. Gave us some pretty significant tides over here on the MS coast. And a lot of tornados in SE LA/SW MS. N.O. definetely lucked out on that one (again!!)

I remember Lili very well, at first they thought it was coming directly in my area but it moved westward at the last minute and weakened. Dulac and Cocodrie had 4' of water inside homes, and my current neighbors had water up to the windows in their house.

It never really moved Westward! What happen it wobbled North so it looked like it was coming straight for East-Central La. Then we went into the eclipse and thats why if you look at the loop, its looks like it jumped.

Lili may have decreased somewhat at landfall, but she was strong enough to whip us really good on the morning of October 3rd. She had quite a good blow for about four hours as she passed right overhead. Lost most of my roof, garage and patio. No electricity for 2 and a half weeks. Won't forget her any time soon that's for sure.
