Jeanne Drying A Bit
Looks like lots of dry air is infiltrating the storm. Should weaken temporarily, then strenghthen again as it moves into the warmer SST's of the Bahamian waters.

Re: Jeanne Drying A Bit
Looks like the Strengthenning may have begun as there is a blowup of deep red south of the eye--First time I have seen red on this satellite of Jeanne in a while.

I dont remember the year, but that looks very Hurricane Erin-esque (Mid 90's brevard landfall as a dried out hurricane). She dried out completely just before reaching florida and then blew up again in the gulf. It seems dry air doesnt always kill a hurricane completely... just stuns them a bit.

Interesting to note, while perusing the last water vapor images before the "eclipse" there is no more dry air to the south of Jeanne, its all filled in, whereas earlier today there was a dry slot in between her and the carribean. I wonder if she will tap into it some and allow her to fill out that convection some. 3am satellite images will be interesting.
