What level wind do you bet Orlando will actually get?

This is the general tropical discussion area. Anyone can take their shot at predicting a storms path.

A local met was saying 70mph... but with warming, possibility of speed increase, etc., what's your 'reasonable range' as to wind speed for Orlando?

Based on history thus far this season, Jeanne may not even come close to Orlando.....

I would hold off worrying, as of now....storms are crazy this year. You may get nothing at all. Don't count on a storm, but, don't "not" count on one either. As I posted on another thread, a local met here in New Orleans just told anybody who has plans to go to Disney this weekend to not change them as he doesn't think it's going to hit Florida..that it will turn first.

the models have performed fairly well this side of 3 days.....and seemed to have converged on a solution.....that solution has orlando a very windy and rainy place on saturday night...

any local mediamet who discounts that and blabbers stuff about "head to DisneyWorld...no problems there" is an idiot.

Thanks, DJTI and all... I well know there are no definites yet, but it's helpful to hear informed opinion for prep purposes... folks in Orlando had to cope with a LOT from Charley way back when, for as far inland as they are and as not-strong as the hurricane was supposedly going to be at one point.
