QUESTION

Jeanne sits over the DR for 24-36 hours.....and weakens from 80-50 MPH
Ive seen cat 4 hurricanes weaken to TS over that island.....
whats this say for her being tenacious????

She was probably trying to strengthen the whole time as the Islands and shear sought to take her apart.

Did circumstances favor strengthening (Land Masses not withstanding) for the period?

Just an uninformed guess.
