New Euro... -> Guantanamo then straight north?

This is the general tropical discussion area. Anyone can take their shot at predicting a storms path.

New Euro... -> Guantanamo then straight north?

#1 Postby ericinmia » Fri Sep 17, 2004 3:27 am

I firmly believe the Euro is struggeling with the current synoptic setup. These "models" run off of mathmatical equations... i belive the current and near future setup is too complex for it to deal with. It is not developing Jeanne, in any runs so far.. and it also is predicting a very quick point blank turn to the north... albeit at different points in the past few runs... whether it be 75 to 82 degrees west.

Agree. The Euro looks to have poorly intialized Jeanne. And if we look closely, one can see Jeanne moves straight North, than is slammed by the ridge and forced to move West.
