Since everybody thinks it's a game to see who can post the advisory first, I thought I would beat you guys to it for the heck of it. I'm not doing this anymore after this though lol


TROPICAL DEPRESSION TWELVE ADVISORY NUMBER 1
NWS TPC/NATIONAL HURRICANE CENTER MIAMI FL
5 PM AST THU SEP 16 2004

...NEW DEPRESSION FORMS IN THE FAR EASTERN TROPICAL ATLANTIC...

SATELLITE IMAGERY AND SHIP REPORTS INDICATE THAT THE DISTURBANCE IN
THE EASTERN TROPICAL ATLANTIC IS NOW A TROPICAL DEPRESSION.

AT 5 PM AST...2100Z...THE CENTER OF TROPICAL DEPRESSION TWELVE WAS
LOCATED NEAR LATITUDE 11.4 NORTH... LONGITUDE 32.8 WEST OR ABOUT
670 MILES...1080 KM... WEST-SOUTHWEST OF THE CAPE VERDE ISLANDS.

THE DEPRESSION IS MOVING TOWARD THE WEST NEAR 16 MPH
...26 KM/HR...AND THIS MOTION IS EXPECTED TO CONTINUE WITH A
DECREASE IN FORWARD SPEED OVER THE NEXT 24 HOURS.

MAXIMUM SUSTAINED WINDS ARE NEAR 35 MPH... 55 KM/HR...WITH HIGHER
GUSTS. THE DEPRESSION IS EXPECTED TO BECOME A TROPICAL STORM WITHIN
THE NEXT 12 TO 24 HOURS.

ESTIMATED MINIMUM CENTRAL PRESSURE IS 1007 MB...29.74 INCHES.

REPEATING THE 5 PM AST POSITION...11.4 N... 32.8 W. MOVEMENT
TOWARD...WEST NEAR 16 MPH. MAXIMUM SUSTAINED
WINDS... 35 MPH. MINIMUM CENTRAL PRESSURE...1007 MB.

THE NEXT ADVISORY WILL BE ISSUED BY THE NATIONAL
HURRICANE CENTER AT 11 PM AST.

Looks like TD12 is gonna be Fish according to the 5 day forecast map...

It may or may not be "a fish." The three to five day forecast positions may be northwest of the initial position.

Computer forecast models of what became Frances showed sharp curves east of the Leeward and Windward
Islands and "her" ultimately track, as we know was more westward.

I wasn't implying that you [plural] didn't know. I guess I shouldn't mention obvious things. To have a discussion things some or most of us know is said.

I'm really going to lose my mind. Apparently the TD Isis map is showing up in place of our TD 12 map?!

Picture me looking on my map looking for 135W between Africa & US...
