NOLA Sticky? Flooding Info - MOD Help Please

#1 Postby LSUChamps0002 » Wed Sep 15, 2004 2:30 pm

Hi. I am a Metairie, LA resident who has left and am now in north MS. I am very concerned about the flooding in southeast LA, and New Orleans. I dont think it willbe a direct hit, but we dont need a direct hiit to get seriously hurt. I have spoken to some people I know and the water levels are alarming, considering it is still Wed afternoon.

I realize there is a new orleans info sticky, but that has been used for closing, ie, schools...

Could a Mod Please, Please sticky a topic somewhere where people could post updates from local New Orleans station mets and tv people, as well as local reports on flooding?

Thank you.

Just watch the weather. As long as Ivan doesn't turn back west, then there will not be any problem. Right now (2:45), waves are crashing over the seawall, but it's nothing greater right now than you would see after a cold front.
