Why are the colder/higher cloud tops on the west side now!?!

This is the general tropical discussion area. Anyone can take their shot at predicting a storms path.

Watching the IR loop on Ivan is showing the storm rebuilding from the west side first... Is this an effect of the troughing to his west?? Do you professional forecasters have a reasoning on this?? Would have thought it would build in from the southeast... Anyway, sure looks healthier with a cleared out eye and the better distribution of CDO...
