Traffic Reports - Lousiana Evacuation

#1 Postby AggieSpirit » Tue Sep 14, 2004 5:56 pm

Hello,

I have 12 extended family members taking part in the evacuation, all headed to Dallas to stay with me and my n-laws.

Reports from them in their cell phones talk of traffic backups, near bumper to bumper of I-10 westbound from New Orleans to Lafayette. Also, very slow traffic now on US-90 from St Charles Parish westbound to Morgan City and beyond. I-49 north, going from Lafayette towards Alexandria and Shreveport is also very slow.

The first of my family members just arrived at the Texas-Lousiana line on I-20 and report that traffic is fine once people get to Shreveport.
