NW Atlantic WV Imagery...

#1 Postby millibar » Fri Sep 10, 2004 9:49 pm

...I'll try to keep it short, then sit back, read and learn.

Front/trough from off Cape Cod SW to PCB, with a low trying to form near SC/Ga. border.

Two ULLs near approx. 58N and 43N moving W/SW.

Dry air approaching the Tallahassee area (approx.)

ULL over Yucatan, moving W

Possible small ULL in the Bahamas

High pressure wedge extending over Miami area, either stationary or being squeezed W/SW

My ??...how can Ivan move anywhere else but N and E of front along the E coast US???

Thanks much!!!

Regards,
Millibar

It is my understanding that the dry air/trough approaching the panahandle will weak and back away some what. We are talking 3 days here. The steering currents are supposed to weaken. So yes...there are number of possible senarios 3 days away, even if now it looks like the only escape is NE

That trough/front you are talking about was actually further down near central Florida yesterday. It was actually nudged back to the northwest today.

Look at yesterday's WV versus today's and you can see for yourself. What occurs today is not as important as what is forecast to occur in 48-72 hrs from now.
