Seriously...every model is now basically in between Naples and Tallahassee. Even my beloved GEM has shifted to the east in line w/ the other models. I CAN'T believe FL has been through so much this year. :(

I'm with you on that. I also hate it for the Floridians after being through so much already. What a traumatic season it has been.

The models may have been in consensus, but there's one niggling fact I have to point out. Since those models came out, Ivan has traveled to the right of their consensus, meaning that in order for Ivan to get back to the models, he's going to have the make a turn to the left, then another turn to the right.

Ivan may be right on track with the current models by the time he comes off the north coast of Cuba, but right now Ivan is going to have to turn about 5 degrees to the left - and soon - to avoid the center of track prediction of NHC for a couple of days now, which was for the eye of Ivan to track over or very near Kingston, not the west end of Jamaica.

Since Ivan is now SE of Kingston, that means he is going to have to turn to more west than 310 degrees.

Yea, looks like another storm headed for the Carolinas before all is said and done... I will not be going with H.I.R.T. on this one to Florida... Can't get that much time off from work... Will be waiting for it here in Va. to head for the Carolinas though.. If it does... Everyone in Florida, my prayers are with you... We had the feeling leaving the Conference this year Florida would be hit, but damn, never thought it would be like this...

Take Care...

The models are in much better agreement and I can only pray that Ivan does not impact the same area that Charley did just 4 weeks earlier.
