I'm trying to remember why I live in florida. Was the 100 degree temps in the summer or the 100% humidy with the 100 degree temps 8-) . Or maybe it was while slepping you can wake up and your house is now in a sink hole . Or was it our usuall tornado out breaks in Feburary. Maybe it was the sleepless nite in August and now Sept worring about Hurricane prep then evacs then clean ups. It is almost a routine for us now. :grr: I guess I'll have to say it is laying out at the beach on Christmas Day. 8-) . I love this he!l hole......

Too funny. Moved from New Jersey to Florida for 13 years, left moved to michigan for 5 years, just moved back in March. I must have been nuts. The humidity alone, what the hell was I thinking.

No, its' true,
Florida is not a paradise.
What happens is when folks visit here in the winter when the wx is blue skies and 70 degrees with low humidity, it's easy to think that it's a great place.

Being w/o power with 98 degree heat and 90 percent humidity and eating cold canned food.

Well, ........come on down.........it doesn't get much better than this year.

Oh, yea, you can go to Disney and pretend it's not quite as hot as it is.......

A convection wave has moved in from the ESE. It has an elongated narrow dark bottom stretching along the horizon from NE to SW. The curve is exactly in the shape and direction of Ivan. This is a "line cloud" that only comes when a cyclone is nearby...
