Frances Video

#1 Postby rickc » Wed Sep 08, 2004 9:20 am

I'm no hurricane hunter, but I did make a little video showing Frances from my backyard. I live in Deltona, FL and she made landfall about 100 miles to the SE and passed about 60 miles to the SW.

The video is about 11 mb and is located here on my personal site: http://www.southernairboat.com/weather.htm

Charley hit us pretty much dead-on w/85 mph sustained and 100 mph gusts, but his fury was measured in minutes not hours. Hurricane Frances blew for hours & hours and this video doesn't show the line of storms that came the night before & the entire day after. At times they seemed to be as severe as the storm itself.

Between Charley & Frances we've been without power 11 of the last 27 days and have minor repairs to make, but we feel real lucky compared to what other people are going through.
