This is what I was thinking, too. But, the CDO appears to be small enough so that most of the feeder bands are still over water.

That is the scary thing, I think land interaction is keeping it weaker than it could be. Clearly there is some disruption there. This thing might be a solid or strong Cat 4 right now if not for that. The next 72 hours should be very very interesting. Get out your camera.
