12Z GFS

#1 Postby btangy » Sun Aug 29, 2004 11:47 am

12Z GFS is even slower with Frances, and seems to stall it over the Bahamas. One big difference is that compared to the 00Z GFS, the 12Z GFS has a much sharper and faster moving shortwave over the Great Lakes at 168hrs. The timing of that shortwave will in all likelihood determine where Frances makes the turn north, so something to definitely keep an eye on.

GFS is similar to this morning's CMC turning Frances up the E coast of FL in the very long range.
