Local Met

#1 Postby Myersgirl » Sun Aug 29, 2004 8:40 am

Our local channel 2 met here in Fort Myers says not to worry about Francis till Tues or Wed, then we will have an idea of where it's going. Does that sound about right?

Still have Charley jitters!!!

Yes. It's not going to hit land(wherever it does) until Friday at the earliest.

Well Watches may not go up till then..but with the NHC overall confidence and added recon they will be even more confident come Monday and Tuesday..It could do a power turn just before florida but come Tuesday.. I would think the models would be reflecting it then even if NHC chooses not to buy it yet..

We will have a much better idea of where Frances will be going by that time. However, as far as waiting to prepare I would not. If your supplies are depleted by Charley's passage I would get the Hurricane Kit back in order now instead of later.

No need to worry, but it is a good idea to re-stock on hurricane supplies now!

If any of you live in FL, I would stock up now. You never know where Frances will hit.
