TD #7 forecast to move west

#1 Postby LowMug » Fri Aug 27, 2004 1:57 pm

This is a definite indication that the ridge will be building into the eastern US. Not a good sign for those along the SE coast and GOM.

Never thought that TD 7 moving W would be an indication to Frances track.. but that helps..

TD 7 track does not have any indication to the future track of Frances. TD 7 will move inland and become absorbed in the approaching front and give portions of the East Coast a wet weekend into Monday. Things change dramatically by mid to late next week. A trough will dig into the NW, this will set up an ominous High pressure ridge over the East coast by Friday. Probably setting the stage for a significant landfalling Hurricane.

I know what you were saying Josephine, I was just stating that the original post was inaccurate in it's statement. It has no relevence to Frances.

dont forget the low south of bermuda. and, if the low off sc rapidly deepens before landfall, and i think this is possible, the trough will deepen to its east

Wouldn't that allow for a more northward move before the westward bend? Increasing the threat further north.

right now anything is possible. i doubt the models are taking into account a strong ts off sc and another possible storm sw of bermuda.

Lowpressure.aka.Forecasting God

To say that my statement is inaccurate is completely false...I did not say that TD 7 will affect the track ...what I said was that TD 7 moving west after tomorrow is an indication that the ridge will be building back in causing Frances to go west...IS THAT INACCURATE?[/quote]

It never ceases to amaze me how quickly a blob of storms can develop
so quickly.
