I would not get that excited about waves over Africa. Most don't make it over the pond.:)

Look at how many waves have come off Africa. Not ONE has made it across. Granted most were before the CV season.

Charley was a CV wave, just never developed much until it got closer to the eastern Caribbean.

It's better, for the life of the storm, if it doesn't form to far out.
