Per NHC; wave in ECAR "SCREAMING"

#1 Postby Frank P » Fri Aug 20, 2004 9:42 pm

8:00 pm Discussion
"TROPICAL WAVE PREVIOUSLY ALONG 54W/55W IS RELOCATED ALONG 61W/62W IN THE LESSER ANTILLES S OF 15N MOVING W 20-25 KT. LONG-TERM SATELLITE LOOPS INDICATE THIS WAVE IS SCREAMING WESTWARD WITH MOST OF THE INCREASED SHOWERS CONFINED TO AND W OF THE WINDWARD ISLANDS."

First time I've heard em refer to one as a "screamer"... hehe

At least it has maintained its convection this evening as it hauls butt off to the wnw... actually right now its the best its ever looked, but that's not saying all that much.... its moving pretty fast, and its in the hurricane "twilight zone of death"... however, if its still hanging around in the morning might be something to watch over the weekend...
