Info about Fort Myers-- Edison/Ford home area

#1 Postby baygirl_1 » Sat Aug 14, 2004 2:07 pm

My mother's goddaughter lives in that area (Ricardo Ave.) and was wondering if anyone has heard anything. We tried to call them earlier, but cannot get through. They are a short distance from the river and the Edison-Ford Homes. I heard the Edison-Ford homes came thru just fine... just wondering about the rest of that area.
Any info much appreciated!

I live in Cape Coral and am writing this by generator. What I heard about the Edison/Ford Estate is that it mainly had trees down and will be back up and running soon

Thanks for the info, cape. Glad you're safe and hope you get your power back soon.
I heard that those homes escaped most damage because they'd taken down most of the trees that could endanger them. My Mom's goddaughter's place is only a few blocks from there and they had lots of trees on their street. I figure we can't contact them just because their phones are out. We're still trying...

Thank you ,and your more than welcome! We did luck out for sure! People are starting to get back power more now and some phone lines are down still. Alot of people went to hotels on the East coast and now returning, so perhaps they left too.
