If I'm not mistaken Josephine is in Kissimmee which is where I live, There is no power, electric or phone servce in most areas. The damage Ive seen is pretty bad around here but most buildings seem ok. many have damage but are standing and ok. Lots of trees, signs etc down.
Hopefully all is well

I have heard nothing about John yet. Chad and Mrs. Chad and Dustin are ok. There fence is trash, but that is about it for them.

Unfortunately, no.
Darn it...I just knew I wasn't covering all the bases when I kept nagging him about shutting down and getting out.
I just realized as I read that again that some people might think my asking that was stupid ("Duh....no phones, no way to reach him, Duck!") What I meant was -- maybe he left a number for a relative outside the threatened area...someone who, if he *could* call or get a call out to, he would. Then, at least, they would know he was okay and anyone who called them would know also.
But we don't have that so I suppose we'll just keep waiting and praying.

I just got in touch with friends in St. Cloud late last night. Some power is back on, some is not, still can't reach my daughter in Orlando, but did reach someone in Orlando who got their phones back on and they had talked to her, she's fine, yes!
Point being, it's pretty spotty right now for power/phones and cell phones (towers down). I'm believing John knows we are concerned and will be in touch as soon as possible.

Hi Eric and everyone.
I am okay. The center of Charley moved about 45 miles to my southeast. The previous forecast tracks from the NHC had the system moving 10 to 40 miles to my west and/or northwest; thus originally forecast were calling for close to and perhaps over 100 mph winds. Which of course was the case in Orlando shortly after 9:00 PM, Friday.
As Brent mentioned I was in the S2K Chatroom as Charley was approaching my area/approached and moved over Kissimmee (John), Orlando and Deltona (Chad, Jen and Dustin). I was also there last night into the early morning hours (as I often am).
I was watching the Orlando affiliates coverage of Charley as the eye moved over the city. I was tuned into my NOAA Weather Radio as well... including just after they first reported the 105 mph wind gust that occurred at Orlando International Airport.
I was on the board on and off yesterday afternoon and evening, too.
